2483977 - Search Postal Code Using Lower Case Alphabets is not giving Results

You are trying to search for postal code in Accounts using lower case alphabets and you see that no records are found 

1. Go to Customers Workcenter
2. Go to Accounts view
3. Select the advanced search option
4. In the section Address , we see a field Postal Code

You see that the field postal code doesn't give any result if the entry term is in lower case , even if it is valid

Postal code is on data base level of type code/character, for these data types the search is case sensitive, for other data types (i.e. Name, Text, Note, Description, ...) the search is case insensitive.
The basic search is a kind of text search which always works case insensitive

This is an expected system behavior.
