2484571 - No sap system name defined for domain

Symptom

  • After a system upgrade, if you navigate in NWA -> SOA -> Monitoring -> Component Monitoring, there you will noticed that not all components are loaded
  • In defaultTrace files the following error can be seen:

no sap system name defined for domain domain.xx.host Thrown:java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.aii.rwb.core.BusinessSystem.getSAPSystemName() of a null object returned from com.sap.aii.rwb.core.XIDomain.getIntegrationServer()        at com.sap.aii.rwb.core.XIDomain.getSystemIdForCaption(XIDomain.java:366)        at com.sap.aii.rwb.core.XIComponent.constructCaption(XIComponent.java:154)        at com.sap.aii.rwb.core.XIComponent.getCaption(XIComponent.java:257)        at
