Symptom

SAP ASE incorrectly starts up with Developer Edition under the following condition.

  • There is no line beginning with "PE=" and "LT=" in the $SYBASE/$SYBASE_ASE/sysam/<ASEName>.properties file
  • The license for Developer Edition ($SYBASE/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/SYBASE_ASE_DE.lic) will be read first before correct license
