2485057 - Fixed Asset Migration Error: Posting Date DD.MM.YYYY must be migration date for Movement Category 07

You are performing the migration of Fixed Assets and you encountered an error : Posting Date DD.MM.YYYY must be migration date for Movement Category 07.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
2. Open the Activity Migration of Accounting Transaction Data.
3. Click Migrate Accounting transaction data using the migration tool.
4. Select the Migration Unit for the fixed asset.
5. Click on Execute Migration.

Movement Category 07- Migration of Accumulated Values (Last Period Previous Year) can be selected only when you are executing Migration at the end of a fiscal year and your migration date is ( for example, December 31, 2016 ) but if you are doing Migration during a fiscal year and your migration date is also in current year then Movement Cateogory needs to be 08 - Migration of Accumulated Values (Current Year).

• If the migration is at end of a fiscal year ( for example, December 31, 2016 ) then Movement Category can be applied as 07- Migration of Accumulated Values (Last Period Previous Year).
• If the migration is during a fiscal year ( for example, June 30, 2017 )  then Movement Category can be applied as 08-Migration of Accumulated Values (Current Year).
• When your migration date is set in the current year ( for example, June 30, 2017 ) then what ever values you are accumulating of your old fixed assets then that has to be in the current year accumulation of your previous year and that is possible only with movement category 08 - Migration of Accumulated Values ( Current Year ) .
