2485084 - Unable to Record Time Since the Dates are Greyed Out in Employee Availability Calendar

Symptom

You are recording Time for an Employee and find that for certain dates, the fields are greyed out which block you in recording time. There is no other time recording or vacation or No holidays.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Resource Management work center
  2. Select Resource Search view
  3. Search and edit an Employee
  4. Go to Availability Calendar

Cause

The cause for the issue is that initially there was a Time Model assign to this Employee and now there is a change in Time Model. If these Time Models differs in working days (Example: the former had Tuesday - Thursday as working day and current have working days as Monday - Friday). Since there is change in time model working day the availability calendar of already assigned project is not updated.

Resolution

To solve this issue, you can use the action Reset Commitment for respective Projects, it will solve the issue. But the day on which you have manually maintain the commitment will also get reset.

Please follow the below steps in order to locate the Reset Commitment button:

  1. Go to the Project Management woc
  2. Search for the respective Projects and Edit
  3. Select Team and Staffing
  4. Under the Team Tab Select the Employee Clément Servat
  5. Select the "Show Availability" button
  6. Navigate to the required Date and Select the Reset Commitment button
