2486001 - Error "Can't allocate space for object 'syslogs' in database" returned in MAIN_SHDCRE/SUBMOD_SHDDBCLONE/DBCLONE - SAP ASE for BS

Symptom

  • During SP update, error is returned in DBCLONE phase where all the jobs got cancelled:

[Adaptive Server Enterprise]Can't allocate space for object 'syslogs' in database '<SID>' because 'logsegment' segment is full/has no free extents. If you ran out of space in syslogs, dump the transaction log. Otherwise, use ALTER DATABASE to increase the size of the segment.  

  • You have dumped the transaction log and also altered the database to extend data and log segment.
  • R3trans -d returns
