2486018 - Time dependant text showing Null value

When the keydate placeholder is filled with a constant date like below, the time dependent text can display correctly:

'PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$keydate$$', '20170530')
PLACEHOLDER."$$keydate$$" => '20170530'
When the keydate placeholder is filled with current_date, the time dependent text is displayed as null values

PLACEHOLDER."$$keydate$$" => current_date
