2487240 - Manual Entries Postings Are Allowed Though Period Is Blocked

The Manual entries postings are allowed as there is a message On DD.MM.YYYY postings are allowed for process group All and date DD.MM.YYYY  though 04 - Time or Service Confirmation for period/year PPP/YYYY (PPP is the period and YYYY is the year) is blocked.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger workcenter
2. Navigate to the Companies view
3. Select Company ABC (ABC is the Company ID) and click on the set process controls tab
4. Under the General Tab, select 01-Manual entries
5. Click on the actions tab and simulate process control, there is a message On DD.MM.YYY postings are allowed for process group All and date DD.MM.YYYY  though 04 - Time or Service Confirmation for period/year PPP/YYYY is blocked.

You will notice that the set process controls for 0-All entries which is not blocked and so it will override the 1 - Manual entries set process controls. Hence the system will allow entries for the date DD.MM.YYYY which are blocked with 04 - Time or Service Confirmation for period/year PPP/YYYY .

1. Go to the General Ledger workcenter
2. Navigate to the Companies view
3. SelectCompany ABC and click on the set process controls tab
4. Under the General Tab, select 0-All entries and change the Process control status to Blocked
5. Click on the Save button.

After this the users will not be able to simulate the 1 - Manual entries set process controls
