Symptom
The 'Learning Expiration Email Notification' automatic process has been enabled to send Overdue notifications, but users and managers are receiving the notification with the same email subject (on the e-mail that the recipient receives). The expectation is that the notification should have different subjects for users and managers.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Log into HCM > navigate to Learning Administration > System Administration > Manage Email > Email Notification Templates >
- Search for the template ID ApmTrainingOverdue and open it in the Edit mode >
- Click on the Messages tab >
- Notice that there is only one SUBJECT field available.
Resolution
The ApmTrainingOverdue notification template is designed to have only one Subject, therefore it does not support a different subject to the managers.
Alternatively, to have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it (as per KBA 2090228), where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
