Symptom

  • License quantity requested increased after upgrade, running on the same host.
  • Different number of licensed cores required after upgrade with no changes to OS or host.
  • Error message "SySAM: Insufficient ASE_CORE CPU licenses" after upgrade
  • Before upgrade, example messages :
SySAM: Checked out license for 6 ASE_CORE
Checked out license ASE_CORE, quantity 6
  • After upgrade, example messages
SySAM: Checked out license for 16 ASE_CORE
Checked out license ASE_CORE, quantity 16

or

SySAM: Insufficient ASE_CORE CPU licenses. ASE requires 16 ASE_CORE ("CP") CPU licenses for use on this machine but only 6 could be obtained.
