2489336 - Top N functionality returns more dimension members than "N" when using a story which has table SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• After creating a table in a story which has multiple dimensions assigned and then applying Top N functionality, it returns more dimension members than required in SAP Analytics Cloud (formerly known as SAP BusinessObjects Cloud / BOC).

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Logon to SAC. 
2. Create a story and add a table.
3. Add a dimension as a row (e.g: Country) and another one as column (e.g: Account):
   
    
   
   
4. Apply Top N ranking to this table (e.g: Top 2).
5. Notice that it works correctly, Top N dimension members are displayed.
6. Now add another dimension to the rows (e.g: State):
   
   
   
   
7. Notice that the Top N ranking returns more rows than expected. (e.g: in case of Top 2, it returns 4 rows).

• This is a product limitation.
• Top N based on a specific context cannot be applied.
• As in above example, it will find the top 2 Countries, then within it picking up the top 2 states, which is based on the table configuration.

Currently, this behaviour is a product limitation.

This feature is not available in the product, however, it may be raised as an Enhancement Request which can be considered in a future release.
