2489488 - Functionality of Manage PO APP not upgraded.

Symptom

Your Cloud system upgraded to 1705 however the App Manage Purchase Order still appears as in previous releases instead of with the new functionality.

Environment

S/4 HANA CLOUD

In previous releases you can see two different tiles for each App:

Create Purchase Order.

Manage Purchase Order.

The same OData Service (MM_PUR_PO_MAINTAIN) is used for both apps. From a technical point of view both apps are just one.

The new App Manage Purchase orders is displayed in 1705 due to a new catalog SAP_BC_MM_PO_PROCESS_PC assigned to the business role SAP_BR_PURCHASER .

Before 1705 the catalog was SAP_BC_MM_PO_PROCESS_PC.

From 1705 The functionality of "Create Purchase Order" app, has been included in the 'Manage Purchase order' App.

In 'Manage Purchase Order' you can create purchase orders with the icon '+'.

If you still see the 'Create ' Icon instead of '+', your app is not updated to 1705.

Cause

The new App Manage Purchase orders is displayed in 1705 due to a new catalog SAP_BC_MM_PO_PROCESS_PC assigned to the business role SAP_BR_PURCHASER .

Before 1705 the catalog was SAP_BC_MM_PO_PROCESS.

All the Cloud upgraded systems has to do the assignment to the new catalog.

The App Maintain Business Roles can be used to add the new catalog and to delete the old one.

Please delete the assignment of the business  catalog SAP_BC_MM_PO_PROCESS and make the assignment to the new SAP_BC_MM_PO_PROCESS_PC.

With this step, the end users will be able to open the new app.
