2489565 - Period Closure Run cancelled because of Locked User

A Period Closure Run finished with errors and you receive a Health Check case from the system. From the error log it seems that a user is locked. This you don't understand as, currently, you do not have any user locked.

1. Go to the Application and User Management Work Centre.
2. Go to the Background Job View.
3. Show: All Failed runs.
4. One or several Period Closure Runs are failed with Description Cancelled manually or by the system.
5. Select the relevant run and click on button View Job Log.
6. The following error emssage is displayed: Logon of user XYZ (where XYZ is the technical ID of the imapcted user) in client XXX failed when starting a step.

If a Health Check is created to address this issue, it is very likely that one of your users was locked at one time, even if you may not think so.

1. Go to the Application and User Management Work Centre.
2. Go to the Busines Users view.
3. Show all, search for user XYZ.
4. The user is locked.
5. You can unlock it by clicking on the Unlock user button.

If this user is required to stay locked you need to reasign the run to another valid user.
