2489773 - Standard Fiori applications failing to load data in Windows 7 running Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) but works in other browsers

Symptom

  • Standard applications like Purchase Order management app in Fiori fails to load data when clicked in IE 11
  • Throws ODataMetaModel.loaded(): undefined -  sap.ui.model.odata.v2.ODataModel in the browser console
  • Works fine in other browsers like Chrome, Edge and Firefox
  • Happens especially after SAPUI5 version has been upgraded to SAPUI5 1.44.14 or above
