Environment

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Recruiting > Job Requisitions
- Click the Candidate Summary for any requisition
- An application error is received
OR
- Go to Recruiting > Job Requisitions
- Click the Candidate Summary for any requisition
- Open a candidate's application
- Receive the error
Cause
There are two possible causes:
- The above error message is shown when the "J" or "Z" operator role is used in any permission block in the Job Requisition Template or Job Application Template.
OR
- Invalid operator was added permission.
Resolution
For the first cause:
- The J operator role is a technical user generated automatically by the system when the requisition template is uploaded.
- The Z operator role is not used in Recruiting and should not be added to the requisition template.
- It should not be used in any permission block (feature permission, button permission, or application status permission) in any of the Recruiting templates.
- Removing the tag <role-name><![CDATA[J]]></role-name> or <role-name><![CDATA[Z]]></role-name> from the permission blocks will solve this issue.
For the second cause:
- Identify the role code added in the permission block. Only the values in KBA 2221569 must be used in the template.
- Sometimes incorrect alphabets used in the permission block also will cause this error. For example using zero - "0" for Originator role - "O"
