2490068 - SAP Host Agent Status: N.A and version cannot be checked in Agent Administration impacting SAPOSCOL Metrics - SAP Solution Manager 7.2

Symptom

  • In Agent Adminstration the following error can be seen "Host agent version cannot be checked" and the status is yellow as shown below.
  • Today.jpg
  • Outside discovery fails
  • In Agent logs the following error can be seen:

[Thread[ExRun:check_1,5,check:ExecTG]] Error [HostAgentSyncProxy] com.sap.smd.agent.wsclients.jax.saphostcontrol.SAPHostControlInterface.executeOperation timed out after 120000 ms.
[EXCEPTION] java.lang.InterruptedException
[Thread[ExRun:OutsideDiscovery_1,5,OutsideDiscovery:ExecTG]] Error [HostAgentSyncProxy] com.sap.smd.agent.wsclients.jax.saphostcontrol.SAPHostControlInterface.hashCode caught exception 120000 ms.
[EXCEPTION] com.sap.smd.agent.facade.hostagent.HostAgentNotAvailableException: [HostAgentSyncProxy.SyncHandler.invoke] Time out when waiting for Host Agent to answer an already running process/call.This call is cancelled. Method called: com.sap.smd.agent.wsclients.jax.saphostcontrol.SAPHostControlInterfacehashCode.
