SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2490144 - "Internal Error: Desktop connection for CRM encountered an error.." throws "RFC-Error: Open SQL command is too big".

Symptom

  • When attempting the first synchronization with Desktop Connection the application returns the error "Internal Error: Desktop connection for CRM encountered an error; contact your system administrator"
  • The Desktop Connection for SAP CRM logs contain an error like: “RFC-Error: Open SQL command is too big".
