Symptom
System creates an unassigned business task for supplier invoice document under Business Task Management view. You tried to manually assign the task for cost center manager, however user is missing in the list.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Application and User Management work center
- Go to the Task Distribution view
- Go to the Business Task Management sub view
- Select Unassigned Items and search for relevant Supplier Invoice
- Go to Actions and select Assign Item
- Search for Cost Center Manager
- No Search Results
Cause
Cost center manager is not available in the list because user does not have a proper validity From and To dates maintained under Business Users view. (For example: Validity From Date - 01.01.1001 - Validity To Date - 01.01.1001)
Resolution
You have to update the proper Validity From and To dates for the user and the determine the assignments manually.
- Go to the Application and User Management work center
- Go to the User and Access Management view
- Go to the Business Users view
- Search for relevant Cost Center Manager
- Select Edit and choose Attributes
- Under User Data, define Valid From/To dates for this user
- Select Save and Close
- Go to the Task Distribution view and select Business Task Management sub view
- Select Unassigned Items and search for relevant Supplier Invoice
- Go to the Actions and select Assign Item.
- Search for relevant Cost Center Manager and now the user is visible for selection
