2490520 - SMP Switch DB SQL Anywhere to External DB

Symptom

Migrating an SMP (SAP Mobile Platform) infrastructure from Windows to Linux is being done.
On a supported Linux distribution an SMP release was installed.

Prior the installation it was decided that an external database would be used to host SMP.
During the installation there were some errors that prevented the installer to establish connection to the external database, so the setup could only locate the built in SQL Anywhere database.

Using an external database to host SMP however is still requirement.
Options are being investigated on how to achieve this.
