2490559 - Signal 4 in NormalizeScalar() when constraint and functional index are used - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • When executing the INSERT INTO command,
  • The ASE errorlog reports an "infected with signal 4" (on AIX) or "infected with signal 11" (on Linux) error together with a stack trace, for example:

Current process (0x810041) infected with signal 4 (SIGILL)
Address 0x0000000000000000 (), siginfo (code, address) = (30,0x0000000000000000)

  • The stack trace includes the following modules:

NormalizeScalar
PesState::PesInit
OptBlock::OptPhaseTcLists
OptGlobal::_GblSearchEngine
OptGlobal::GblOptimize
Optimize
s_compile_stmt
