How to restrict position target criteria.

Employee Central - Position Management

You can restrict the target criteria of position using the "Specify the target population for the other objects." options in the Edit Granting Section of permission roles.
This can be done for various fields or methods using hierarchy.
The below example shows how it can be done using a field value.

• A custom field in the position object had been added in order to use it for RBP target population
  
  
  
• In Manage Position it can be set to NO or YES
  
  
  

1. To restrict Target Population of Positions open the permission role and scroll down to:
   Grant this role to...
2. Click 'Edit Granting'
   
   
   
3. Search for Position and tick 'Restrict target to' and 'Include access to Position':  
   
   

Result:

Only positions with field 'PositionVisibility' set to 'Yes' can be accessed by users of this permission group
