2491216 - Routing of Comments Within Time off

• How are the comments routed for time off requests?
• Why are the comments that are visible on the ESS UI are not displayed on the Workbench?

1. Request a time off and insert a comment on the request.

2. This appears in the ESS of the employee.

3. The manager only has access to the MSS and can see the comment when the click view absence.

4. The manager of the employee then adds a comment back:

5. The employee will not see this comment in the ESS.

6. This comment will be visible in the absence request.

This is expected behaviour.

• As the manager does not have access to the employees ESS to view the interaction.
• The comments will only appear there.
• Out of the Time Off screen it is already possible to view the existing comments posted to an approval request, and add further comments as well. However, the Time Workbench does not support view / adding comments yet.
• There is an internal enhancement for this, however there is not fixed date as of yet ECT-58481
