2491649 - System administrator notifications are delivered to a wrong email address in SAP Analytics Cloud (BOC)

Symptom

  • System owner has been changed in SAP Analytic Cloud Tenant.
  • System administrator notifications are not retrieved by the current system owner.
  • Notifications are being send to the original tenant owner.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2017.11.1

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Go to Security >> Users and assign System_Owner to another user.
  3. Log out.
  4. Try to log in with a deleted user and notice the following message
    • "It seems your profile is not configured for this system. Please contact your system administrator, or end this session and try again later."

  5. Click on "Notify System Administrator"
  6. Notice that the email with subject, "Your help is needed!" is received by the previous system owner.

Cause

A communication failure occurred that led to the two systems (SAC and SAP Cloud ID) having different owners.

Resolution

  1. Log in with an admin user to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Highlight a user who you would like to temporarily make the System Owner.
  3. Click the transfer System Owner button.
  4. Make sure to make your old System Owner an Admin.
  5. Now change the System Owner back to the desired System Owner.
