2491878 - BI servers not starting after Linux/Unix OS restart - XI 3.1

Symptom

  • SIA (Server Intelligence Agent), Tomcat or SQL Anywhere are not starting automatically after an OS restart
  • Servers and services have to be started manually on every restart
  • Server initialization script runs on startup - but gives the following error:

    BusinessObjects Enterprise currently only supports locales using UTF-8 and utf8 encoding. Please change your locale to one using UTF-8 or utf8 encoding and try again.
