2492138 - Unable to Maintain Exchange Rate in Valid From Field

When maintaining Exchange Rates, date and time in the Valid From field cannot be updated. Error message: "A data set XYZ, rate type Default Exchange Rate Type already exists - Adjust quotation date DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM UTC+n" is displayed on the screen.

(XYZ stands for the Data Set ID)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger Work Center.
2. Go to the Edit Exchange Rates View.
3. Select Source and Target Currency.
4. Change the Bid Rate.
5. Click on Valid From field and Select the date and time.

The system displays the error message: 'A data set XYZ, rate type Default Exchange Rate Type already exists - Adjust quotation date DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM UTC+n'

This is the expected system behavior. It is not possible to change the date of a row to a previous period.

If an Exchange Rate for a specific date is required, the Add Row button may be used instead for updating the same row.
