2492824 - OpenDoc URL doesn't release user sessions.

Symptom

Open Document doesn't release concurrent User Sessions.

Environment

  • SAP Business Objects Lumira 1.31.7 and below

Reproducing the Issue

Steps:

  1. Create a 5 Current user licenses
  2. Create a user of Access type  “Limited by concurrent session pool”
  3. Create session token using BOE REST SDK
  4. Open first Lumira document with OpenDoc URL with Token as parameter and set the value from step 3.
  5. Go to CMC -> Sessions -> see the session count
  6. Repeat step 4 with different document and see sessions there is a session count increase.
  7. Repeat step 4 with 3 more documents
  8. There will be error “No HANA Connection exists”. This because no licenses are left.

Another scenario

  1. Create a 5 Current user licenses
  2. Create a user of Access type  “Limited by concurrent session pool”
  3. Login to BOE Launchpad
  4. Go to Documents
  5. Select a Lumira doc and view
  6. Keep repeating step 5 three times
  7. There will be error “No HANA Connection exists”. This because no licenses are left.
  8. Go to CMC -> Sessions -> see the session count

Cause

This was caused by an issue in SAP Business Objects Lumira 1.31.7 and below.

Resolution

This has been fixed in 1.31.8.
