Symptom
Open Document doesn't release concurrent User Sessions.
Environment
- SAP Business Objects Lumira 1.31.7 and below
Reproducing the Issue
Steps:
- Create a 5 Current user licenses
- Create a user of Access type “Limited by concurrent session pool”
- Create session token using BOE REST SDK
- Open first Lumira document with OpenDoc URL with Token as parameter and set the value from step 3.
- Go to CMC -> Sessions -> see the session count
- Repeat step 4 with different document and see sessions there is a session count increase.
- Repeat step 4 with 3 more documents
- There will be error “No HANA Connection exists”. This because no licenses are left.
Another scenario
- Create a 5 Current user licenses
- Create a user of Access type “Limited by concurrent session pool”
- Login to BOE Launchpad
- Go to Documents
- Select a Lumira doc and view
- Keep repeating step 5 three times
- There will be error “No HANA Connection exists”. This because no licenses are left.
- Go to CMC -> Sessions -> see the session count
Cause
This was caused by an issue in SAP Business Objects Lumira 1.31.7 and below.
Resolution
This has been fixed in 1.31.8.
