2494333 - "SAJDBC remote data access class is no longer supported" error running ALTER DATABASE UPGRADE.

Symptom

  • Simplex IQ server throws an error "sajdbc remote data access class is no longer supported" while an execution of ALTER DATABASE UPGRADE using dbisql on localhost was attempted.

 [asiq@xxxx:~] $ dbisql -c "uid=DBA;pwd=TEST;eng=xxxx;links=tcpip{host=localhost;port=2638}" -nogui

(DBA)> alter database upgrade
Could not execute statement.
  The sajdbc remote data access class is no longer supported, please use
  IQODBC instead
  SQLCODE=-1617, ODBC 3 State="HY000"
