How to Enable investigate reporting tool?

Prerequisites:

This KBA assumes that you have Workforce Analytics Client in Provisioning ticked:

Also, that the adequate permissions in Analytics have been configured. 

Context:

All roles that have been granted Query Workspace permission will be inherited by Investigate. 

Steps to Enable:

1. Go to  Admin Center  Upgrade Center .
2. Under Optional Upgrades, select Investigate.
   
   
3. Click Upgrade Now.
4. Select Yes to the confirmation message.
5. Click OK to close the update message.

The Investigate icon appears in the Tools panel in place of Query Workspace.

After you have enabled Investigate, it becomes the default framework for querying and investigating data. However, you can switch back to the classic view of Query Workspace at any stage by clicking Switch to Classic View on top of the page.

Note

Query tables or visualizations created in one framework are not available in the alternative environment. For example, if you have created a query and visualization in Investigate, you will not be able to retrieve it if you switch to Query Workspace. However, Custom Calculations and Custom Members and Sets created in Query Workspace will be available in Investigate.

From Query Workspace you can switch back to Investigate by selecting Investigate from tools panel on the left.
