2496034 - SuccessFactors Theme Manager feature - Login Page settings

Symptom

  • Customer wants the background to be white;
  • Customer wants the background color is changed to white, the white text is unreadable;
  • Customer wants to change the text from white;

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Admin Center > Theme Manager > Login Styles > Login background;
  2. Change Background Color to White;
  3. As a result, the login page appears unreadable;

Cause

As default, the text on the login page is set to white.

Resolution

Customer needs to change the settings in Theme Manager, following the below steps:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Theme Manager > Login Styles > Login background
  2. Background color = #FFFFFF - This is the overall background color of Login Page.
  3. Overlay option = Light
  4. Overlay opacity = 0% means to keep the background color you choose, 100% means to keep the Overlay option as the background color.
  5. Background type = This field correspond to the background of Username and Password fields.

          

        6. Save the updated settings

This will result changing the background color to white and text to black

NOTE:

Login Page theme settings apply to customers with basic authentication. 

When Identity Authentication (IAS) is enabled, the SuccessFactors custom/legacy login page is no longer used. All logins go through IAS: SSO users are routed per IAS settings, and password users see the IAS login page. The SuccessFactors login-page configuration can’t be reused, but IAS provides per-application branding to customize the login page, including for SuccessFactors, as per KBA 3081682 - SuccessFactors Login page theme is no longer the customized one.
