Symptom

You get an error related to user groups when starting the SUM tool

> ./STARTUP confighostagent <SID>

**** Checking path translation for independent ASP assuming SID is <SID>
**** Non standard SUM directory /usr/sap/SUM detected
**** HOST detected as <ABCDEFG>.COM
**** The root directory to SUM is /usr/sap/SUM
**** The SUM has been extracted outside of an SAP system at /usr/sap/SUM
**** SID parameter <SID> as points to a valid SAP system
**** Use SID parameter <SID> for further processing
**** The saphostagent command would be /usr/sap/SUM/sdt/exe/SLProtocol.sh
**** Set qsecofr:r3group as owner of /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/operations.d and /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/descriptors.d
chown: r3group is an unknown groupname.
**** ERROR when setting qsecofr:r3group as owner of /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/operations.d and /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/descriptors.d
**** Aborting!
