Symptom
A radard chart created in the Online Report Designer does not display data as expected.
Environment
SuccessFactors Online Report Designer
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a new report in the Online Report Designer
- Add a blank page to the report and edit it.
- Add a new Chart component to the page.
Example: Chart view based on published data. - Select the componet and click 'Edit Query'.
- Choose the appropriate data source.
- Once back in the page, set 'Chart Type' to 'Radar'.
- The chart displays data in a wierd manner.

Cause
'Series Ordering' for the chart has been set to 'Ascending’ or ‘Descending’
However, due to their design logic, Radar charts do not support series ordering customization * and hence the strange behavior.
*Note: This limitation with radar chart applies to all charting / reporting tools and not just to SuccessFactors.
Resolution
Change Series Ordering to ‘Native’ through the following steps:
- Select the Chart component.
- Click ‘Edit Formatting’.
- Under the ‘Chart’ tab, set ‘Series Ordering’ to ‘Native’.
