2497853 - Failed to read Directory URL from SLD

Symptom

You encounter one of symptoms below.

  • Communication channel is not displayed in Monitor in NWA
  • AE (Adapter Engine) name is empty when running transaction code SXI_CACHE

In NWA, when you perform a Cache Connectivity Test, the result is as below:
Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory has not yet started or is still in process
 
When check CPA Cache History, you could find below:
com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPADirectoryCacheException:
Failed to check secure connection configuration.
Reason: com.sap.aii.af.lib.sld.SLDException: Failed to read SLD instance name.
Reason: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.lcr.api.sapmodel.JavaCIMObject.toCIMInstancename() of a null object loaded from local variable 'anInstance'
at com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.cache.directory.DirectoryAccess.getDirectoryURL(DirectoryAccess.java:145)
at com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.cache.directory.DirectoryAccess.getConfirmationURL(DirectoryAccess.java:177)
at com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.cache.directory.DirectoryAccess.invokeConfirmationURL(DirectoryAccess.java:496)...


It does not work even after performing a Delta CPACache Refresh.
