A Learning user is unable to successfully make an External Request. The following validation error is generated: The External Submission Default Process ID is not defined. Please contact your Administrator

In the Learning user side, select the Links tile and then:

1. External Requests >
2. New Request >
3. The validation error appears.

The error is due to the Approval Process settings, External Submission Default Process ID and External Verification Default Process ID are not configured with any value.

To fix it, in the Learning admin side, click:

1. System Admin >
2. Configuration >
3. Global Variables >
4. Approval Process Settings >

       5. Select the desired approval processes >
       6. Apply Changes.
