2498550 - EEM script fails with an HTTP 401 error after a Solution Manager update/upgrade - Solution Manager 7.1/7.2

After the LM-Service is upgraded, EEM scripts are failing with authentication messages:

• HTTP return code is 401 e.g. "Error com.sap.smd.eem.executor.http.NetweaverHttpProtocol.serverRequest(...) HTTP status code 401 for message"
• AND the script complains for “Missing or incomplete credentials” with the “Negotiate” scheme e.g.: "Error com.sap.smd.eem.executor.http.PropertiesCredentialsProvider.getCredentials Missing or incomplete credentials. Scheme=Negotiate Host=<hostname>"
• Missing or incomplete Credentials

• Solution Manager 7.1
• LM-Service SP12 Patch 8 (or higher)
