Resolution

There are several chart types available in Report Designer and they include -

  • Vertical Bar
  • Stacked Vertical Bar
  • Horizontal Bar
  • Stacked Horizontal Bar
  • Line
  • Line + Bar
  • Area
  • Radar (Spider)
  • Pie

Please compare the numbered list below to the screenshot taken from the "Chart " tab in the chart formatting window:

  1. Chart Type – Click the triangle icon to select a chart type
  2. Measures As – Click the triangle icon to show the measures as columns (categories) or rows (series).
  3. Series Ordering – Reorder s the dimension on the columns to either native (as they appear in the dimension tree ), ascending or descending
  4. Percent of Total – Converts the dimension on the rows of the chart into a percentage of the overall total for that column.
  5. Rolling Average – Calculates the average of the result + the preceding results. Applicable to Line + Bar charts only.
  6. Invert Chart Colors – Inverts the chart colors to the opposite of those set.
  7. Title – Change the text to be displayed as the chart title.
  8. Font – Change the font style, size, effects (bold/italic) of the title
  9. Font Color – Click the paint icon to choose from a range of font colors for the title
  10. Auto Re-size Font - Automatically resizes the font size of the chart title if the component becomes too small for the font size set. If this box is not ticked your text will say the same size as you chose in the Font option.
  11. Minimum Auto Font Size - Sets a minimum size that the chart title font can be resized to if the Auto - size Font option is ticked.
  12. Placement - Click on the corresponding box to move chart title to different locations around the chart.
