2499276 - DQP query st_server.cxx abort at opt_Driver::GetMaxShadows - SAP IQ

Symptom

  • Running a DQP query causes the co ordinator node to abort with a SIGSEGV 11.
    SAP IQ Abort:
    From: stcxtlib/st_server.cxx:1927
    Message: caught signal 11, program abort
  • The aborting stack trace contains these function calls
    opt_Driver::GetMaxShadows
    opt_Driver::ApplyShadowTransform
    opt_Driver::AddParallelShadowSubtrees(dfo*)
    df_DQPFragment::Prepare()
    st_workerQueryFragment::Prepare(hos_Deserializer&)
    st_workerQueryFragment::Exec()
    st_workerContextContainer::SetupWorkAllocatorExec
  • The abort does not happen every time , the issue is sporadic and unpredicatble.
