Symptom

  • SAPINST Fails in the setup database server software phase
  • ERROR 2017-06-01 12:33:44.170 [CInstallerCallBackImpl.cpp:228]
    CJS-00030  Assertion failed: Unable to install the database software. Refer to trace file sapinst_dev.log for further information.
  • gzip: not found.
    The included VM could not be uncompressed (GZIP/UNCOMPRESS). Please try to
    download the installer again and make sure that you download using 'binary'
    mode.  Please do not attempt to install this currently downloaded copy.
