2499712 - JSON encoding the \n characters error in hybrid offline application

Symptom

Special characters in JSON format are not being handled correctly in the application. When reading JSON data from the UDB that contains a special character "\n" an error occurs from the JSON parsing function:

"Unexpected token in JSON"

The JSON data received from the Gateway OData service contains the correct format, but the "\n" is replaced by a control character "0xA" when querying the UDB, and this cannot be parsed by the JSON parser.
