2499945 - Could not save page com.sap.portal.pcm.OperationFailedException: Object already exists

Symptom

  • An object (iView) was added into a Page. When attempting to save it, the following error messages are displayed:
    AlreadyExsits.PNG

     !  Could not perform operation. Try again later or contact your system administrator.

     !  Could not save page com.sap.portal.pcm.OperationFailedException: Object already exists <PATH_TO_BROKEN_DELTA_LINK_SOURCE>
  • The following errors can be found on defaultTrace file:
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot lookup resource AdminBase: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Child not found: BrokenDL at <PATH_TO_BROKEN_DELTA_LINK_TARGET> [Root exception is javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Child not found: BrokenDL at <PATH_TO_BROKEN_DELTA_LINK_TARGET>]

    Caused by: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Child not found: BrokenDL at <PATH_TO_BROKEN_DELTA_LINK_TARGET>
