2501272 - How to Change Rating Labels in PM v12A Form to Distinguish Raters - Performance Management

Symptom

When you have separate ratings configured on a PMv12a form, the standard labels for ratings look the same in a pdf print of the form.  Therefore, you cannot tell who the rating belongs to.

Resolution

You can set a new label for the field "Choose an alternate label for the rating field" within each section of your PM form. This setting is intended for changing the label of the rating of record or the official rating.

  1. To see this option, access a section of your PMv12a form that has the ability to rate and click the "Show advanced options" link

  1. Scroll down to the field "Choose an alternate label for the rating field" and change this option to something other than the default of "Rating"

  1. Now when you view your form, the ratings can be differentiated on a PDF print (Note that this is not a dynamic change, so it would only take effect on newly launched forms)

If you wish to change the rating label for other raters in the form, for example the Employee Rating, this requires a configuration change in the template xml. Please contact an SAP Partner consultant to make the necessary changes. The SAP Partner can also configure language translation using message keys. See 2087186 - Manage Template Settings - Localizing using Message Keys.
