2502026 - Name selection grayed out while creating new Development Component in NWDS

Symptom

While creating a new Development component in NWDS, the selection "Name" is grayed out.

In addition, the error message "Invalid name: appropriate prefix not found; choose another name or another name server"

For the last, the parameter CharacterSet[] in SLD UI->CIM Classes-> <Filter for class where the issue is occuring> -> General tab shows an different value than {A-Z, 0-9, '_'}, for instance:

Development Component Name > General
CompoundName = TRUE
Separator = "/"
Escape = NONE
IgnoreCase = TRUE
CharacterSet[] = {AlphaNum, '_', '$', '.', '-', '!', '~'}
