2502608 - "Internal Server Error" happens when importing huge data from Concur into a model in SAP Analytics Cloud (BOC)

The error message below shows when importing huge data from Concur into a model in SAP Analytics Cloud:

Error occurred in driver: An unexpected error occurred. Contact system administrator for help. : External Data Service Returned Error: Internal Error occurred : { "Error": { "Message":"Internal Server Error", "Server-Time":"xxxxxxx", "Id":"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" } }

Error seen in Har log: "Error occurred in SAP Concur driver: The user doesn't have permission to access the requested resource."

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2017.12.1

1. Create a Concur connection.
2. Create a model based on the connection.
3. In Create New Query prompt, choose Expense Entries in Select Data.
4. In Build Concur Query window, drag one or more dimensions from Available Data to Selected Data.
5. Leave Filters blank.
6. Click OK.
7. After spinning for a moment, the error "Internal Server Error" shows.

• SAC has a hard limit of 800k rows.
• The Concur server canot load such a giant size of the expense entries.
• A single failed API call will cause the entire import to fail.

Add a filter for the query to create a model.
