2503381 - Funds Management (PSM-FM) activation and deactivation

You want to know the first steps to activate Funds Management (PSM-FM) or you want to know how to disable Funds Management functionality.

This note only gives some recommendations to be looked at in a consulting project. There is no guarantee for completeness and functional correctness, and it is not an official SAP guideline.

To use PSM-FM, you need to activate the Enterprise Extension EA-PS in transaction SFW5.

EA-PS is also the main software component for Funds Management.

The activation of the Enterprise Extension is per system. In addition, the global Funds Management functions are activated (or deactivated) at client level.

Considering that PSM-FM is part of an Add-On, its activation or deactivation is per client, not per Company Code. Therefore it is important that before you implement/deactivate PSM-FM, you consider that this will be a process for all company codes integrated in same client. It is not possible to activate or deactivate the entire PSM-FM functionality for some company codes only.
