Obsolete dump marker causes duplicate key row error after using sap_materialize
Backup procedure at primary includes dump database followed by dump tran, both write a dump marker in the primary database transaction log for replication.
A subscription is created by DR Agent using the ‘with dump marker’ syntax during manual materialization (sap_materialize).
If the subscription picks up the dump marker from ‘dump database’ at the primary instead of ‘dump transaction', this will cause a duplicate key error, because the data from dump transaction would be loaded manually AND attempt to be replicated – causing duplicates.
If the hourly dump transaction is done before the dump database to be used for the resync, then the marker from the dump database is obsolete.
All transaction between the dump transaction and the dump database are already in the queue and will cause duplicate records on the standby side once the connection is resumed.
