Symptom

  • Applying permanent license to SAP HANA returns error : SAP DBTech JDBC: [7]: feature not supported: License commands are not available on tenant databases: line 1 col 1 (at pos 0).
  • You try to use SET SYSTEM LICENSE '<file_path>' to install the license and get the sam error.
  • You are running a single data base, no tenant DB's.
  • As well you try from HANA Studio to install permanent license.
