2504213 - "Monitoring service is disabled, only probes are available" when accessing the Monitoring page in Central Management Console

• "Monitoring service is disabled, only probes are available" when accessing the Monitoring page in Central Management Console(CMC).
• The Adaptive Processing Server(APS) hosted Monitoring service seems normal with Running, Enabled status.
• Restart the APS hosted Monitoring service can not resolve the issue.
• Create a new dedicated APS for Monitoring service can not resolve the issue.
• Error in APS trace log: java.lang.RuntimeException: Monitoring service may not have started yet or might have failed to start. Please wait for sometime or check the service status (MON00041).

• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform (BI) 4.x

1. Logon to CMC.
2. Navigate to Monitoring page.
3. Receive error message: "Monitoring service is disabled, only probes are available".

Some jar files are missing under <BI4.0 Install Folder>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib.

1. Stop Server Intellgence Agent (SIA);
2. Check the paths for all .properties files under <BI4.0 Install Folder>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib folder and backup the <BI4.0 Install Folder>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib folder;
3. Copy the <BI4.0 Install Folder>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\lib folder from a working environment which has the same patch level and replace to the problematic environment;
4. Recover all .properties files from backup folder to the original paths which checked in the step2;
5. Start SIA and check if the Monitoring page can be shown without any error.
