2504327 - You do not have permission to access the following placeholders error

In generating document via Document generation, "You do not have permission to access the following placeholders" error occurs.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Document Generation

1. Navigate to Admin Center 
2. Generate Document
3. Select the document and click on download 
4. Error occurs.

or

1. Go to employee profile 
2. Actions->Generate document 
3. Fill all the required fields 
4. When trying to generate the document error is faced 

This can occur due to 2 reasons:

1. The permission is not provided to that particular data.

OR

2. The Effective date of the object is set as 'none'.

1. Go to "Manage Document Template Mapping"
2. Select the template you are trying to generate
3. Check the placeholders you are getting the error for 

4. Check if the permissions is provided for the particular Base Object 
1. Go to "manage permission roles" 
2. Select the user permission role 
3. check if the user has permission for all the placeholders from the template (2144701)

For MDF Objects also check the Effective date field configuration

1. Go to "configure object definition"
2. Select the object from the placeholders 
3. Change the effective dating field in the object definition from none to 'Basic'.

4. Give the permission for the particular object again
