2504640 - Ability to use Balance from Different Time Types, When There is no Balance on the Selected Time Type

Symptom

Use case scenario: There are two different time types, for example "Unpaid Leave" and "Earned leave".
These belong to different time types.

The requirement is that if there is no balance remaining on "Unpaid leave", that the days are deducted from alternative time type "Earned leave".

Resolution

Add the time account type for unpaid leave to the Eanred leave time type. Assign it below the Earned leave time account type.
That way if there is no balance left on unpaid leave, the system will check the balance starting from the top of the list, which is Earned leave.

If this time account type has the balance, it will be deducted from there.

Note: You will need to set balance cannot fall below zero on the first TAT listed, or else it will keep deducting from that account.

Alternatively you could add a take rule on the unpaid leave time type, to raise an error that if no balance is reminaing, to request days from Annual leave.
