Unable to create a Future Dated Record with Auto Delimit of Past Record on the Payment Information Portlet in SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

A scenario where the user wants to load up 3 bank information records for an employee.

  • Record 1 has 2 accounts, primary & secondary (effective 9/01/2017)
  • Record 2 has 1 account just primary  (effective 4/09/2017)
  • Record 3 has 2 accounts again, primary & secondary (8/01/2018) - identical to record 1

Issue occurs when the user manually creates the first 2 records and then tries to create the third record. The system doesn’t pick up the change that was made on the second record and therefore does not let the user save it as it is still referencing the first record.

Note: The same scenario works via Manage Data. However, on the Payment Information portlet in PP3 it doesn't work.


  • Currently, the user is able to add new record in the middle of history record in Manage Data (such that on choosing the effective date in the middle of dates in the history record it is retaining the values of the previous record) but its not working in the similar manner in Payment information portlet
  • This an expected behaviour, as it does not work in Payment information portlet
