Symptom
Editing past entries of a Negative Time Recording Timesheet
Environment
Successfactors - Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
The scenario is as below:
The employee forgets to record his timesheet for a given week. At the end of the week the Timesheet is automatically submitted with the employee’s standard hours. Then the employee realizes the week after his/her oversight.
-If at the end he/she did more hours than his/her normal time, then he/she can adjust it.
-But if he/she did less hours than his/her normal time, then he/she cannot adjust it whereas it should be possible using negative Time recording
Resolution
Scenario 1) If at the end he/she worked more hours than his/her normal working time, then he/she can adjust it and add more hours via time sheet.
Scenario 2) If he/she worked less hours than his/her normal working time, then he/she cannot adjust it whereas it should be possible. In this case he/she needs to submit an absence.
Example: If employee has worked only 4 hours then for the rest 4 hours an absence should be submitted. You cannot have the time recording reduced without an absence in case of negative time recording.
This is the expected behavior and by design.
